HUNTER PACE GUIDELINES
Competitors must ride in pairs or teams of three, time will run until all riders have completed the course. A rider may participate twice but only the first ride/time will count.
TIME: The ideal pace time will be determined in the following manner. The MFH of the local hunt will ride the course with a partner (this will be the ideal time). The team will then be excluded from the winning scores. The pace setting team and their time will be kept secret until all riders have completed the course.
CHECK POINT: There will be two check points of 3 minutes each, teams missing a check point will be disqualified. Vet. at second check.
SCORING: Points will be awarded towards the series trophies as follows: First - 14 points; second - 12 ; third - 10 ; fourth - 9 , fifth - 7; sixth - 6; seventh - 5; eighth - 4 ; ninth - 3 ; tenth - 2 . The Junior Division which will be made up of riders 17 years old and under, will follow the same point system. Current Point Standings will be posted on the Website on Monday following the pace at:
www.AdjacentHunts.comTROPHIES: The Louise & Daniel McKeon Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the Hunt whose members have accumulated the most points for the entire series, to be held by the Hunt for one year. 2002 Champion Fairfield County Hounds. The Greenville County Hounds Perpetual Trophy will be given to the team or individual, who are members of a Sponsoring Hunt, scoring the most points in the series and is to be held for one year. A team splits points between riders and riders can change partners during the series. A third trophy, to be retained by the winner, will be given to the high scoring individual, or team, who is unaffiliated with a Sponsoring Hunt.

DRESS: Informal hunting attire prior to Opening Meets and formal attire thereafter. The Masters have the right to exclude inappropriately dressed riders. Hard hats required. Any questions about attire should be referred to the local hunt.
STARTING TIME: paces begin at 10:00 am. But local riders may ride earlier. Times and directions are obtained from Pace secretaries up to 6:00 pm on Friday evenings. Post entries are permitted at discretion of Pace Committee. Please be sure to give your telephone number to the secretary in the event of a cancellation.
START CUT-OFF TIME: 1:00 pm. Pace Committee may extend the time. It is at the discretion of the Masters.
VET CHECK: There may be a vet check at the second check point. Teams with horses not passing the vet check will be detained or excused.
ENTRY FEE: Full subscribing members of a Sponsoring Hunt - $50.00 per rider. Unaffiliated riders, non-subscribing members and associate members are priced at discretion of pace secretary. Juniors (17 & under) are priced at discretion of pace secretary. Hunt Members must name their Hunt.
